Spend a memorable night in a desert camp under the stars before returning to Marrakech through some of Morocco's most spectacular landscapes.
Your Itinerary
Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Depart Marrakech in the morning and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n'Tichka Pass. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking mountain views and traditional Berber villages. Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco's most famous fortified villages and a renowned filming location. Continue to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the "Gateway to the Sahara," before traveling through the Valley of Roses and the Skoura Oasis. Arrive in the Dades Valley in the late afternoon and enjoy the stunning scenery of rocky formations and lush valleys.
Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, travel towards the spectacular Todra Gorge, where towering canyon walls create one of Morocco's most impressive natural landscapes. Take time to walk through the gorge and enjoy the dramatic scenery. Continue through desert towns and palm groves towards Merzouga. Upon arrival, meet your camel caravan and trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the Sahara before arriving at your desert camp. Dinner is served under the stars, followed by traditional Berber music around the campfire.
Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Wake early to witness a spectacular Sahara sunrise before breakfast at camp. Return by camel or 4x4 to Merzouga village and begin the journey back to Marrakech. Travel through Alnif, the Draa Valley, and Ouarzazate, with opportunities for scenic stops and photography along the way. Cross the High Atlas Mountains once again via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass and arrive in Marrakech in the evening.
