Fes
Arrival in the Imperial City
Arrive in Fes and meet your private guide at the airport or train station. Transfer to your traditional riad in the heart of the medina, with time to settle in and rest from your journey. In the late afternoon, take a gentle walk to your closest medina viewpoint to watch the sunset paint the ancient skyline rose-gold. Welcome dinner at a traditional restaurant inside the medina with a brief overview of the days ahead.

Full Day in the Labyrinthine Medina
A full guided day in Fes el-Bali — the 9th-century UNESCO World Heritage medina and one of the world's most extraordinary urban environments. Visit the Chouara tanneries from leather-scented rooftop terraces above the vivid dye vats. Explore Al-Qarawiyyin, founded in 859 AD and widely considered the world's oldest continuously operating university. Visit the ornate Medersa Bou Inania with its hand-carved cedar and stucco. Wander the souks of leather, ceramics, brass and spice with your guide as interpreter. End at the Merenid Tombs above the city for golden-hour panoramas over the medieval skyline.

Across the Atlas to the Edge of the Sahara
Early morning departure from Fes. Head south through the rolling foothills of the Middle Atlas. First stop: Ifrane — a charming alpine town with red-roofed chalets and a famous stone lion sculpture, often called the "Switzerland of Morocco." Continue through ancient cedar forests where Barbary macaques roam roadside. Cross Midelt's high plateau between the Middle and High Atlas ranges, with a lunch break before the dramatic descent through the spectacular Ziz Gorge and its endless palmery corridor — a sea of date palms stretching to the horizon. Arrive Merzouga in the late afternoon as the great dunes of Erg Chebbi flush gold and amber. In late afternoon, mount your camels for a 90-minute trek deep into the great dunes, watching the sunset paint the sand from camelback. Arrive at your luxury desert camp as the stars emerge. Dinner around a fire with traditional Berber music — a memory that stays for life.

Sahara Sunrise & the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs
Wake before dawn to climb the great dune behind your camp for the Sahara sunrise — one of the most transcendent experiences on earth. Watch the desert turn from violet to amber as the sun rises over Algeria. Camel back to where your 4×4 is waiting. Drive through Rissani — Morocco's old caravan capital — and along the legendary Route des Kasbahs. Stop at Todra Gorge, where sheer canyon walls rise 300m on either side of a shallow palm-lined river — time to walk into the gorge with your guide. Continue to the rose-red Dades Valley with its dramatic switchback roads and bizarre rock formations known as "Monkey Fingers." Sunset at the Dades viewpoint. Overnight in a kasbah hotel above the gorge.

Valley of Roses, Hollywood of Africa & UNESCO Kasbah
After breakfast, drive through the Valley of Roses (famous for the spring rose harvest and rosewater products) and the Skoura palm grove with its scattered ancient kasbahs. Visit Kasbah Amerhidil — the largest kasbah in Morocco. Continue to Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of Africa" where Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Game of Thrones were filmed. Visit Kasbah Taourirt and the Atlas Film Studios. In the afternoon, arrive at Aït Benhaddou — the magnificent UNESCO fortified ksar of pisé earth towers. Walk through the labyrinth of mud-brick buildings with your guide and climb to the top for panoramic valley views. Overnight in a kasbah guesthouse facing Aït Benhaddou — magical at night when the ksar is gently illuminated.

Over the High Atlas to the Red City
Wake early to enjoy Aït Benhaddou in the soft golden morning light — the best time for photos with virtually no crowds. After breakfast, begin the climb over the High Atlas via the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m) with sweeping views over mountain ranges and Berber villages clinging to the slopes. Stop at a women's argan oil cooperative — see how the precious oil is still extracted by hand. Descend to the ochre plains and arrive in Marrakech in the early afternoon. Check into your medina riad. Free time to explore the souks at your own pace or relax on the riad rooftop. Dinner with views over the Koutoubia minaret.
Marrakech
Full Guided Tour of the Red City
A full guided day in Marrakech with a licensed local expert. Begin at the ornate Bahia Palace, with its hand-carved cedar ceilings and zellige courtyards. Visit the golden cedar of the Saadian Tombs and the imposing Koutoubia minaret. Continue to the extraordinary Majorelle Garden — 12 acres of cobalt-blue architecture and exotic plants created by Jacques Majorelle and rescued by Yves Saint Laurent — and the adjacent YSL Museum. Lunch in a hidden riad. Afternoon walking tour of the historic souks of the medina with your guide decoding every alley, craft and scent: spice merchants, weavers, lantern makers and leather workers. As the sun sets, take your place in the legendary spectacle of Djemaa el-Fna square — storytellers, snake charmers, musicians, acrobats, and the rising smoke of a hundred food stalls.
Marrakech → Casablanca
Atlantic Coast & the White City
Morning departure from Marrakech via the modern motorway north to Casablanca (~3h). Arrive in time for lunch at a seafront restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the spectacular Hassan II Mosque from the outside — perched dramatically on a promontory above the Atlantic, one of the world's largest and most architecturally striking mosques, with the world's tallest minaret at 210m. Walk along the Corniche, the modern beachfront promenade. See the Art Deco Mauresque architecture of the city centre and the Place Mohammed V. Check into your hotel near the Corniche. Dinner overlooking the Atlantic.
Casablanca → Rabat → Chefchaouen
Royal Capital & the Blue Pearl of the Rif
Morning drive north along the Atlantic to Rabat — Morocco's elegant royal capital. Visit the Kasbah of the Oudaias with its blue-and-white lanes and ocean views, the unfinished Hassan Tower and the magnificent Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Continue inland and north into the Rif Mountains. The road climbs through cork oak forests and Berber market towns as the air cools and clears. Arrive in Chefchaouen in the late afternoon — your first glimpse of the famous blue medina glowing in the mountain light. Check into your riad in the heart of the blue quarter. Sunset hike to the Spanish Mosque above the town for a panoramic view of the cobalt medina against the Rif. Free evening to dine on Rif cuisine in the main square.
Chefchaouen → Fes
Blue Medina Walk & Return to Fes
Morning to lose yourself in one of Morocco's most magical towns. Wander the labyrinthine alleyways washed in every shade of blue and white — from pale sky to deep cobalt. Visit the 15th-century Kasbah and its small museum, browse the artisan shops selling wool blankets, leather goods and local goat cheese. After lunch, depart Chefchaouen and drive south through the Rif foothills, returning to Fes in the late afternoon (about 4 hours). Arrive at your hotel or the airport, completing the loop. End of services — a head full of stories, a phone full of photographs, and a Morocco that won't leave you.
